A few photos from my visit to Mcity, The University of Michigan’s 32-acre autonomous-driving testing facility in Ann Arbor, in August 2017.

Mcity, the University of Michigan's 32-acre autonomous vehicle testing site, is quiet during the lunch hour.
I-75 is the other direction, but a variety of legit signage, intersections and road surfaces keep self-driving cars on their toes.

Note that the "Railroad Crossing" sign is mounted upside-down. That's on purpose.
Mcity signage is also marred to make things tougher on AVs.
This tunnel is a GPS-denier.
Mcity's terrain tends to be sloped, again to make things harder on test vehicles.
